Kiwi Graphic Designer, constantly seeking new opportunities in global design industry. I work with design agencies, and with my own clients - wherever I can make a difference with my skills and experience!
I enjoy working in a diverse range of mediums. Typography and lucid visual communication are the most important factors in graphic design. My favourite type of work: logo and identity projects and typography. Although PACKAGING and WEBDESIGN [while challenging], are most rewarding.
An easy going personality and positive outlook helps in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. With over 10 years experience as a qualified, professional graphic designer I feel well equipped to serve as a valuable asset to a design team. I am a fast learner and enjoy a new challenge.
Just days after graduating, I was hired by Starfish Solutions, to design print and web graphics for NZ export companies.: In 2001 I started “the design arm of the Starfish” with enthusiasm and fresh ideas that changed the skill-set of the company, making Starfish Solutions a one stop shop for marketing, internet solutions and visual communication. This marketing plan gave me great opportunities to design graphics for a very diverse range of media, aimed at many different target markets. I created all kinds of printwork, from business cards to billboards; and website design from animations to complete content management systems...
After 3 years working at Starfish Solutions I went freelance, scoring good contracts for design companies with an overflow-of-work or a man-down, including temp-contracts with Melbourne design studios (via Aquent and Artisan), a three month contract with WebElements and a year at LinksLiving. With an eye for typography, strong technical skills and accuracy, I have also proven that I am flexible and can adapt to new working environments.
I am currently available for freelance work.
