Food is our #1 energy source, a basic survival need, something we have to consider everyday...

and for some, that's all it is, a means to an end;

while for others cuisine has become an art-form and one of the best ways to enjoy the company of our friends...

Whichever way we look at it - the more we know about food, the better our lives can be. Whether we consider the direct health benefits of eating high-value superfoods, or the detrimental aspects of "too much" of a food group - many people who are intolerant to gluten don't even realise - but it's a continual "drag" on their day-to-day energy. While most of us know full-well that some things are simply "bad" for us, but we enjoy eating these things anyway. I'm always interested in finding out what works for me - and it changes depending on my lifestyle and environment (my Mediterranean plates aren't half as heavy as the food I crave living in the mountains each winter). The food I'll write about in this website I consider healthy - but the reason to write is more about "enjoyment" and eating with friends...
